Solid hardwood flooring is a type of wood flooring that is manufactured and milled from a single piece of wood. The finished pieces are called planks and they have a thicker wear surface that can be sanded and finished more times as compared to engineered floating floors. Solid hardwood is 100% natural wood product. This type of wood responds well to different air humidity variations; however, relative indoor humidity level should be kept at 45-55% throughout the year in order to avoid wood gapping and cupping.
